Understanding different concentrations
| Infant Drops | Children's Liquid | |
|---|---|---|
| Concentration | 160 mg / 5 mL | 160 mg / 5 mL |
| Previous (old) | 80 mg / 0.8 mL | 160 mg / 5 mL |
Since 2011, infant and children's Tylenol are now the same concentration (160 mg/5 mL). This reduces confusion and dosing errors!
If you have old infant Tylenol (80 mg/0.8 mL), throw it away. Using old concentration with new dosing charts causes overdose.
